Wanna Be A Referee?
Wanna be a part of the Red Dirt "family" but don't wanna get hurt? We're also looking for a few more Referees! As well as members for our Production Crew, Stats/Score Keepers, Cheerleaders, Announcers, Mascot(s), and general Volunteers.
Ref Requirements:
Attend at least 1 practice a week
Do not have to wear skates
Must memorize rules of the game
Must supply their own stopwatch/whistle/jersey
Practice Schedule:
Location: National Guard Armory, NE 23rd & Broadway
Sunday 6:00 - 8:00pm
Monday 7:00 - 9:00pm
Thursday 7:00 - 9:00pm
*Skaters are required to attend 2 out of 3 practices per week*

We welcome any and all willing participants. All skaters are required to meet a minimum attendance policy. Why? Because attendance, participation and involvement of every member of this league is what keeps it going. It’s about teamwork. We focus on building relationships among our skaters, as well as with other roller derby leagues. Our training committee will work hard to teach you important derby skills such as falling, blocking, jamming and strategy. We certainly don’t expect perfection, but we like to see effort.
Roller derby is a full-contact, rough-and-tumble sport. Participation in derby activities (including but not limited to: practices, bouts, or exhibition scrimmages) present an inherent risk of danger to person or property. Although we stress the importance of safety gear and proper technique, there is always a risk of injury (as with any sport).
